A disavow file lets you invalidate links on your domain. After the successful verification of your domain in the Google Search Console, you will be able to upload a disavow file. Google analyses the contents of the file and will take this into consideration when evaluating these links to the domain. Using this method, you can disavow unwanted links that have come to breach Google’s guidelines.
If you add the same file you uploaded to the Search Console to your SISTRIX LinkRating project during the creation of your project, we will exclude all URLs and domains named there from the evaluation.
Following the style Google mentions on the above help page, entries in the form of an URL or an entire domain are used in analyzing the disavow file:
#Example of a URL
http://spam.example.com/stuff/comments.html
#Example for a whole domain
domain:shadyseo.com
