The SISTRIX Toolbox is the first SEO tool to offer a smartphone Visibility Index. It enables you to directly compare desktop and smartphone visibility and quickly note weaknesses in configuration and usability of mobile websites.
As Google uses the same index for searches from PCs and smartphones, and only enhances the results with information on the mobile version of the website, it was our goal to help identify weaknesses in the mobile version with our Visibility Index.
To make a comparison of the two indexes possible, we chose the same keyword set, the same query depth and the same weighting of search volumes and ranking positions for both Visibility Index values. This means, we surveyed 25 million data points for both indexes and compared them to each other.
To access the smartphone Visibility Index, click on the gear icon in the appropriate box and select “Show Smartphone Data”.
To see the boxes for which smartphone data are available, visit https://www.sistrix.com/changelog/smartphone-visibility-index-and-ranking-data/.
For the collection of smartphone data we are using the following user agent:
(Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 7_0 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/546.10 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/6.0 Mobile/7E18WD Safari/8536.25)
As with desktop data, we query the top 100 hits for a keyword. The keyword set for the Visibility Index (250,000 keywords) is collected once a week.
