As of this week, you can now use the movers and shakers feature for the complete timeline of the top domains, by Visibility Index, all the way back to 2011 for the UK.
For example, back in 2010 you could find last.fm, about.com and myspace.com in the top 20. The Mail Online was in the top 20 at one point too while today, it’s at number 90.
Some domains have remained constantly dominant though – youtube.com and amazon.co.uk for example
But if you want to watch it all in 60 seconds, here it is:
Note that we’ve had to take Wikipedia out of the data set (VI:7412) so that you could actually see other domains in the animation.
